Our next WebMob Thailand event will be a workshop for Entrepreneurs and Startups, and it is free for Tech Startups (see details on the event page). The workshop will actually be a presentation and an exchange of best practices with the COO of a promising Startup.
Cubie is a mobile messenger app. Launched in March 2012, the Startup quickly joined the 500 Startups program and raised US$ 1.1 million seed round investment from investors from Taiwan and Japan.
However in 2014, after the 2 founders left the Startup to pursue other activities, it has been decided that Cubie would be rebranded and relaunched as Pal+ and the app has partnered with Thailand-based game studio Asiasoft to provide games, on top of its other services.
That’s when Thelma Lin, whose expertise is in the online gaming industry, joined the team.
During this workshop, Thelma will share with us her experience with Cubie/Pal+ and her vision of the Startup business in Asia and Southeast Asia. But this workshop is also the opportunity for local Startups to take advice, exchange ideas and learn form each other’s experience.
If you are a Startup, join us on Tuesday 21 April at the Busy Bees @ 115 Coworking Space!
