ServisHero integrates with Grab to make transportation for local service providers seamless [Press Release]
Thailand, 4 October 2016 — ServisHero, Southeast Asia’s leading mobile marketplace for local services, today announced an integration with Grab, Southeast Asia’s leading ride-hailing app,to provide its network of service providers a seamless and efficient way to book a ride for their jobs directly within the ServisHero platform. Grab’s deep-link feature within the ServisHero Pro app for its service providers, who are termed “Heroes”, demonstrates how on-demand, sharing economy start-ups are working together to deliver more efficient and higher value services to more consumers.
“ServisHero is always looking for ways to add value to the lives of both our users and our Heroes. At our core, we exist to empower local service providers. By integrating with Grab, our Heroes have a convenient and cost-effective way of being transported to their customers. We are seeing the growing popularity of ride-sharing apps, so it makes sense for us to combine our resources to provide a seamless experience for our Heroes — connecting jobs with a safe, fast and efficient Grab ride,” said Karl Loo, Co-founder and CEO of ServisHero.
Available in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, ServisHero allows consumers to easily source for trusted service providers by answering a few questions on their service needs and location. Through its location aware technology, ServisHero’s system alerts customers to relevant and available Heroes who then responds with an estimated quote before the customer decides. By connecting customers directly with service providers on its platform, ServisHero significantly reduces delays and allows for better communication and added transparency.
Grab’s integration with ServisHero allows service providers to rely on the region’s most extensive transport network to get them quickly to job locations. Once a job is confirmed, Heroes simply tap the ride button within the ServisHero Pro app to launch the Grab app, which will have the journey information pre-populated for a faster booking. For Heroes, removing the hassle of arranging for personal transportation and providing a fast, simple and efficient way for Heroes to book a ride to their job sites, allows them to focus on delivering a great service to customers.
“We are pleased to work with ServisHero, a leading start-up similarly focused on enabling opportunities, to deliver greater convenience to their Heroes by providing a service we excel in — ride-hailing. Grab is the regional leader, now with 400,000 drivers serving 21 million customers in 31 cities across Southeast Asia, because we supply hyperlocal transport that is safe, efficient and accessible. We want to partner with more businesses and extend Grab’s transport solutions to benefit more people, everywhere in Southeast Asia,” said Reuben Lai, Grab’s Head of Business Development.
As part of the cooperation, Grab will provide transport offers for Grab rides — GrabCar, GrabTaxi and GrabBike(Delivery) — booked on the ServisHero platform. For Grab, the native integration of rides to growing and popular business services allows the company to expand and deepen its transportation reach across more customer segments.
